I assume they are either not fully aware of the issue at normal support level or could be covering their ass no idea.
But multiple shops of different versions and platforms don't just stop working all on their own. So it has to be their end.
It would make sense if it were a specific version of the plugin or a specific change people have in common.
So for now all I can do is wait to hear from PayPal
