What else is not working? You are using a lot of plugins and a commercial theme (those are not supported here) so you'll need to start sorting out what may be causing any problems. Generally, start by deactivating plugins to see if any are causing problems. If not, leave them off and switch to a default theme - test again. If it's the theme, ask the developers of the theme. If a plugin, post on that plugins own forum.

That said, you can also check for JS errors and other errors:

No, sorry, these forum don't provide that level of support. IF you want to hire someone to do that, you could post a job listing here:

Gravity Forms and the PayPal Addon are working as they should on 4.1.1. I suggest another issue is in place such as lack of validation with GF, PP or both. Consult GF for support, it is after all a Commercial Product.

it doesn't matter whether you are software engineer for 35 years or 10000 years. its just how database works. i am working for one of the word's largest e-tailers, have experience working with not thousand rather millions of user data where physically deleted record is a fact of life. so i am quite aware of the extent of performance impact. Yes we have listened to your concern and can happily disregard because it a non-issue.

Please NOTE that word press user ID and simple membership user ID -- there ARE NOT same. this is how simple membership plugin works. yes .. we have intentionally maintained this separation.

thanks

And I doubt your databases are any larger than those we dealt with when I was at NASA - index fragmentation and and DOES have an impact without external intervention (defragmenting).

And I did not suggest a problem with having a separation between WordPress DB and simplemembership. I simply maintain that the same user having different user IDs in two locations can cause confusion and could be avoided.

So far, as far as "support" is concerned, we have you being antagonistic and "happily disregard" issues, and on your site, the admin suggesting that the solution to the paypal redirection problem for paid users, is to reword the email(!) that they are sent before they complete the registration form. That is not helpful, and frankly, neither are the attitudes.

I give our programmers 3 rules: be courteous, be helpful, and fix the problem without excuses.

But that is us.

you never know which one is bigger. because its nasa, you cannot support your claim in public i think :) and i don't see NASA in the list of 10 world's largest databases (http://pandidba.blogspot.com/2014/01/top-10-largest-databases-in-world.html) but the company i work for is there. Again that's a system spanning multiple data centers across the globe. mind you, we are talking about wordpress. if your system is of such scale, you are not doing to install wordpress and be happy with that.

and when mentioned "index fragmentation", you are just proving my 3rd point (in my first reply). that's DBA responsibility

i "happily disregard"ed because its not an issue. people who reported issues, we fixed them. But we don't like to spend too much time discussing no-issue.

So unless you have found some "real" issues in our software, we will not be replying to this thread.

Thanks.

It IS a real problem - and you prove MY point about antogonistic, defensive responses instead of being helpful.

And the DB was one of TWO problems in this thread, as I pointed out in the previous entries.

And for those who are following this thread: no software is perfect. So regardless the plugin, when the "support" is antagonistic, defensive, argumentative, maintains there "are no issues", etc. you might want to consider a different plugin. We are evaluating 23 for our list, so I can make some recommendations (all but 3 are free).

@Joe C sorry to hear about your experience with this plugin. I am sure that in the very near future the plugins functionality will be improved even further. The developers do their best to provide a great plugin for everyone to use.

Once again thank you for reporting back and testing the plugins functionality.

Happy Easter :)

Kind Regards

I am still choosing which multi-vendor plugin to use, and I am considering yours. BUT,your descriptions says "i nstantly pay vendors their commission as soon as an order is placed Or, pay commission on a schedule. Weekly, biweekly, monthly, or manually.".

Why do the individiual store owners get a commission - aren't they supposed to be paying the site a commission for each product the individual store owner sells? Kind of backwards, it seems, because that means that the individual store owners would have to go through the site owner's payment gateway account, instead of their own. Would it not be better if the site owner does not come into the picture after the store owners create their individual stores, and the site owner simply takes a commission at every sale? In short, the less work for the site owner so much the better.

WCVendors on "[Plugin: WC Vendors] Why Stores Get Commission?"

That's exactly how this plugin works.

Site owner has a site.

Vendors create their store.

Customers buy products.

Site owner pays the vendors whatever percentage you configured for each sale.

Except the customers do have to go through the site owners gateway. There's no way to have a gateway for each individual vendor. That would be insanely complex, time consuming, customer service horrific, and impossible for YOU to earn money from your vendors. :)

Why don't you just install the plugin and give it a try? It's free. Not like it costs anything to try it out. You can see the number of sites that this plugin powers, we have about 4000 stores that rely on WC Vendors every day.

Checked & solved..now how do i go about changing the UU paid subscriber account from pending to paid. This is still being reflected on the paid accounts that occurred prior to the changes that have made the payment system work smoothly thus far.

I already got an email from one user inquiring about this fact...

I'm glad to hear that the issue has been resolved.

We will need to implement a new module for that.

I'll keep you posted

Hi,

I would like to change my form so that when a phone number is entered, is sent to in the user email with the format 250-745-1234 (with the dashes separating some of the numbers. Is there an easy way to modify this?

Also, I am using the PayPal option and need to show the cost of the options on the form. Right now I am just putting the dollar value in the product name but that means that the email shows "Gold - $500 - 500". I want the email to read "Gold - $500".

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

I'm setting up a charity website and trying to implement a PayPal donation wall. All the plug-ins and widgets I can find seem to create forms for accepting the payment but what I'm looking for is something that just captures the IPN message from PayPal, asks the user for a comment and presents the comment, username and amount on a read only wall.

The charity will be pushing traffic to the PayPal account from multiple sources so I would like to capture the details after the standard PayPal payment screen.

Bryan,

I've got a fix for Q4. If you contact me trough the plugin website I will send you the IPN update.

Q3 is more difficult to answer as I need to see the URL you are using.

Having a form that redirects to PayPal for payments does not work with the Gravity Forms PayPal Payments Standard plugin (v 2.3).

Instead of redirecting, it simply shows the Confirmation message.

Using A-Symmetric encryption. I've had to set the encryption back to None to get forms directing to PayPal again.
